The ghouls and ghosts come out this weekend and there’s so many fantastic spooky events to go to!
Tonight I am off to the Rocky Horror show. I have no idea what to expect, I’m sure I saw the film when I was about 11 but I don’t remember any of it. It’s been the talk of the office for the last week, so I am ready and prepared with a suitable outfit – red stilettos, fishnets, a black dress and apron hoping I make a suitable Magenta. I also have my prop list ready from rice, to newspaper, to torches.
I don’t understand is how the show will go, how the props will be used and how you’ll get a full theatre of grown people in such hilarious fancy dress to be quiet. All I know is that it will be fun. Judging by the pictures, everyone puts in so much effort, which I love and so I expect everyone to be really up for a laugh and in great spirits (no pun intended!)
But if that wasn’t enough fun for one weekend, the next day is Halloween. I swear when I was younger, Halloween wasn’t a big thing, but nowadays it puts everyone in the mood for dressing up and parties. I have already carved my pumpkin and like most people I am off to a funky Halloween house party. But before I do, I am joining some of the masses in Brighton for a zombie walk! I am not sure if this is a Brighton thing because I have never heard of one before, but this looks like an annual event down here and there’s more than one to choose from. You can join zombies for record breaking walks or simply pub crawls. Two that I know about are Beach of the Dead III, meet 3pm at Brighton station and Crawl of the Dead III which starts at 7pm on Dyke Road – see you there!
