Cabinet ministers have backed Prime Minister Gordon Brown ahead of his arrival in Brighton for the Labour Party Conference.
Mr Brown is due to arrive shortly at the Hilton Brighton Metropole from Heathrow Airport after flying in from America.
Schools Secretary Ed Balls, International Development Secretary Douglas Alexander and Energy Secretary Ed Miliband have all backed the PM in today's papers.
Mr Miliband told the Daily Telegraph: "I think we've got the right leader in Gordon. He's the man who stopped us going from recession to depression in Britain and around the world."
Mr Balls told the Guardian Brown should not worry about not having "razzmatazz".
He said: “Gordon is who he is. Gordon is at his strongest when he is being authentic.”
Mr Alexander told the Daily Mirror: "I hope this campaign provides the opportunity for serious debates at every level of the party.”
