After a few hectic weeks (yes holidays do seem to take it out of you) my plans for this weekend was to do as little as possible. However being one of those people that get bored within two minutes I knew I would end up doing something. I just hoped that I wouldn’t find a late night gig too good to miss.
So when flicking through a Brighton magazine, I found the perfect thing. As part of the Brighton Food Festival, this weekend is ‘The Great Big Brighton and Hove Picnic’ which will be both entertaining and relaxing. What’s more, Google is informing me that the sun intends to come – it’s meant to be!
There will be a sharing table where you can share and show off your cooking and although you’re welcome to turn up with no food I’ll definitely bring something. I just haven’t decided if I am going to go all out and make a special themed picnic (A pirate themed picnic sounds fun but what would you put in it?) or cheat by simply buying an assortment of snacks nibbles and scotch eggs on the way!
What I am a little confused by though is that acclaimed wine expert Henry Butler will be there but rather than wine I think he’s running ‘Fizzy Pop Connoisseur Tasting’ hmmm….Is someone pulling my leg?!
