While everyone is talking about the White Air Festival that is happening this weekend, I have my mind set on a different kind of festival.
Having been away all the weekends so far in September, I have missed most of the Brighton Food Festival so I was 1) happy to find out it is still on and 2) ecstatic to find out that this weekend is the Fiery Foods Festival!
My partner and I are quite fond of hot foods – in fact the food we most commonly pick at while cooking are raw jalapeños so we have been disappointed that we keep missing the festival. But as much as I love spicy food,
I don’t envy the judges whose mouths’ you will watch flaming as they taste all the finalists to decide winners from 8 different chilli product categories.
As well as ‘hot foods’ there are numerous bands paying, comedians, cookery demonstrations as well as ‘surprises’ and so the day seems quite a bargain for only £3! Oh and girls, this might be the time to mention the fireman display! So if you fancy catching a last bit of heat before winter comes, head down to Victoria Gardens on Saturday, 10-6 for a festival that in some ways is more extreme than that White Air festival!
