A woman jumped to her death from cliffs after her son's crimes drove her to depression.
Kim Rolf killed herself by jumping from the cliffs at Rottingdean after telling friends, family and mental health officials that she could not cope with her son Jack’s actions.
The 48-year-old, of Martha Gunn Road, Brighton, went to the cliffs to take her own life on October 18 last year.
Jack Rolf, now 18, had moved out of the family home but regularly returned to the house.
Mental health professionals who treated Miss Rolf noted her anxiety about her son.
After his mother’s death Jack Rolf began drinking heavily.
Earlier this year he was convicted of attacking a man in a car park and robbing a pizza delivery driver and a tourist at knifepoint.
He was jailed for six years.
Deputy Brighton and Hove coroner John Hooper recorded a verdict of suicide.
