A man from Bognor has died after falling from the balcony of a seaside hotel.
Police have revealed they were called to the Sandbanks Hotel in Banks Road, Poole, at 3.18am on Sunday after receiving a report that a man had fallen after climbing on to a balcony.
An inquest was opened on Monday into the death of Christopher Riley, a 43-year-old scaffolder.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: “Sadly, the man was confirmed dead at the scene. There are no suspicious circumstances.
“This appears to be a tragic accident and police are making inquiries on behalf of HM Coroner.
“A post-mortem has ascertained that the cause of death was multiple injuries.”
