Twenty of the most gorgeous guys and galls from Brighton battled it out on the catwalk by strutting their stuff in a fashion competition.
Unique Brighton, the traders group for the North Laine and The Lanes areas, organised the competition to find two top would-be models.
After an exhaustive search the 20 was whittled down to ten and then to the final pair of winners, Luke Sutherland and Bria Horne.
Featuring clothing from chain stores such as French Connection and Hobbs and local traders including Hope & Harlequin, Get Cutie, Gresham Blake, JuJu and Fruity, the fashion show was held to boost trade and promote the area.
Bria, who walked away with a chance of becoming a professional model after winning the competition, is a 17-year-old BHASVIC student, who recently got four As in her AS levels.
She said: “We had to do three separate walks down East Street. The first walk was petrifying, the second nerve-racking but the third was quite fun.
“I didn't even realise it was a proper competition until I won it. It's not quite a modelling contract but a chance to go up to Profile Model Management to get a portfolio done.”
As well as having the chance of a professional modelling contract Bria and Luke also won a free gym membership with ZT Fitness.
Fashion model scout Lindsay Fergusson, who has spent the last two months scouring the streets of Brighton searching for talent with her team, said: “The selection process is over but the fun is just beginning.
“We have picked out people with clear potential and it is my job to make sure they achieve it.”
Soozie Campbell, Brighton's city centre manager, said: “Jane, Lindsay and the team have done a great job so far. The next step will be to marry the models up with the Unique Brighton retailers taking part.
“There is a lot of hard work ahead but I have every confidence that they can take these raw recruits and make stars of them.”
