As a visitor to Rugby Road, Brighton, I was enraged to find I had received a ticket for £35 if paid in 14 days, £70 thereafter, for double-parking at 8.25am on a Saturday.

The cars I parked in front of belonged to the household I was visiting and there is no signage to indicate that parking in this manner is a prohibited practice.

I plan to appeal against this fine, as I feel it is an unjust penalty.
