Crawley were up against it at KitKat Crescent today where they conceded two goals in the first ten minutes to trail 2-0 at the break.

Richard Brodie put York ahead after five minutes from the penalty spot after he had been fouled by on-loan defender Dominic Collins.

It got worse for Reds five minutes later when Michael Gash had time to turn and fire a low shot past Simon Rayner from 15 yards.

Brodie mis-kicked six yards out and Rayner made an excellent save just before the break from the impressive Brodie as Crawley's makeshift defence struggled to cope with a lively home side.

Reds' best chance came in the fourth minute when Adam Barton skipped past two challenges and was about to pull the trigger when Danny Parslow produced an excellent block.
