Anthony Cartwright, author of acclaimed novels including Politico headlines and inspires this month’s short story event.
Cartwright, whose debut Afterglow won him the prestigious Betty Trask Award, given by the Society of Authors for outstanding first novels, will be reading from his latest book, Heartland, which explores the differences between individual and group identity in a tale of love, politics and football.
The evening will also feature thought- provoking short stories with a political theme from both local and national authors, with music between readings.
