A man has been charged with robbing an Eastbourne bank.
Police were called to HSBC in Terminus Road at 3.25pm on Tuesday after staff reported a man had handed them a note saying he was armed and dangerous.
They handed over cash and the man left.
Frater Osiris Xnoubis was arrested at 3.45pm in Grove Road. Police said they later recovered most of the money.
Xnoubis, 39, from Eastbourne, appeared at Eastbourne Magistrates' Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody until a hearing at Lewes Crown Court on November 27.
