A MAN has been arrested in connection with a series of armed raids across Sussex.
Sussex Police said a 20-year-old man from Crawley had been arrested this morning in connection with six robberies.
The most recent robbery took place on Monday morning when a guest took around £200 from a Hove bed and breakfast and threatened the owner with a gun when she confronted him.
Three more robberies also believed to have been linked took place in Brighton.
On August 13, at about 7am, a newsagents was targeted in Western Road.
On August 19 at about 7am another newsagent was robbed in Preston Road. A bureau de change in Western Road was robbed on August 26 at about 1pm.
At around at 8.45pm, on Saturday, August 22, a lone man committed a street robbery on a footpath near Three Bridges railway station, Crawley. The robber showed the victim a gun then stole his wallet and mobile phone.
On Friday, August 28, at 2:30pm, there was a robbery at Elegant, a clothes shop in The Broadway, Haywards Heath. A man showed a member of staff a gun then made off with cash.
The man is currently in custody awaiting questioning.
