Albion manager Russell Slade’s job should not be in jeopardy this early in the season, with just four games played (The Argus, August 27).
The club has not had a good start but the results are not as bad as they look.
Slade saved the Seagulls from what looked like certain relegation last season, which means there is no reason to abandon belief so quickly.
He is rebuilding the squad, with some important players waiting to come back from injury and some new additions to settle in.
The time to judge Slade will be when the side is settled.
His teams are traditionally slow starters, which always improve as the season progresses.
I think the board and the fans must be patient.
Keep the faith and let Slade get on with his job.
It will do the Albion no good if his job is in doubt and will cause low morale within the dressing room if he feels he is already under pressure.
I am sure Brighton and Hove Albion will improve and we will see better results.
