A man was remanded in custody today charged with the murder of his son.
Lee Floyd was found stabbed to death at the house they shared in Elbridge Crescent in Aldwick, Bognor.
His dad Robert Floyd was not present in court during a brief hearing at Worthing Magistrates' Court, this morning.
Floyd, 64, was ordered in his absence to appear before Lewes Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on November 19.
Officers were called to the two men's home just before 1pm on Saturday following reports that a man had been stabbed. A kitchen knife was recovered at the scene.
South East Coast Ambulance Service and an air ambulance attended, but paramedics were unable to save 36-year-old Lee and he died at the scene.
Detectives from Sussex Police charged Robert Floyd with the murder yesterday evening.
