I saw a feature this morning on TV in which they reported Brighton and Hove had the highest instances of drug abuse in the UK.
Yet again, because of our unwanted and maligned union with Brighton (I am a Hovite living in the “town of Hove”), Hove gets lumped in the same sentence with “Boozy Brighton” and all its problems and “undesirables”.
It should have been noted it is in fact Brighton (as a town alone) that is guilty of the highest drug abuse in the UK.
If Hove was considered alone, then it would not return such an undesirable statistic.
Again, this further fuels the call for Hove to finally call it a day, and separate from the union, and to revert to the proud town and borough it used to be before the forced marriage with Brighton in 1997.
