A severe house fire in Brighton has left a road closed for more than an hour.
The blaze on the first floor of a house in Carden Avenue was reported at 12.40pm.
Four engines from East Sussex Fire and Rescue brought the flames, which had broken through the roof, under control.
A female in her 50s was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
Carden Avenue was closed by Sussex Police while fire crews made the scene safe but is now reopen.
