A woman was seriously injured after a crash between a car and a van in Horsham this morning.
Police are now appealing for witnesses after the mini, driven by a 24-year-old woman, was in a collision with a Vito van outside the Cisswood House Hotel, in Sandygate Lane, Lower Beeding at about 9.10am.
Four people were taken to New East Surrey Hospital after the crash including two 11-year-old girls who had minor injuries.
A 49-year-old man, who was driving the van, was taken to hospital with minor injuries and has since been released.
A spokeswoman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “Five ambulances attended the scene. Four people were taken to hospital including a 49-year-old man with head injuries and two children with minor injuries.”
PC Alan Lawrence of Sussex Police said: "Police are appealing for information and would urge members of the public to contact the Haywards Heath Policing Unit on 0845 60 70 999, quoting reference 350 of 27/08."
