I have some sympathy with the views of your correspondent (Letters, August 15) regarding Green Party members allowing the Tories to remain in minority control of Brighton and Hove City Council.
It does appear the Green Party has scored another own goal in this area.
This mystifying decision probably means many of us will have to continue to put up with the farce of the current communal bin system (the abolition of doorstep rubbish collections) in many areas of Brighton and Hove, cuts to some services and housing problems. It is not surprising so many people have been put off politics. Let’s hope more people come out to vote in future elections.
