Detectives are hunting a gang of hoodie street robbers they believe struck twice in 48 hours.
Police think the same offenders are responsible for a pair of attacks on Sunday and Monday in which groups of men were attacked for their mobile phones.
Both robberies happened in Northlands Avenue, Haywards Heath.
The first incident, at about 1.30am on Sunday, saw four friends being approached by a group of about eight males near the One Stop convenience store in the road.
The gang demanded money before assaulting two of the friends, both local males in their 20s.
The hooded youngsters stole a Samsung phone and wallet before running off towards the Princess Royal Hospital.
Detectives believe the group of suspects were using two cars - a blue Citroen Saxo and an older style burgundy Vauxhall Astra.
The attackers were white and aged between 16 and 20.
They were wearing one white, one brown, and one light blue hoodie with two dark stripes down one sleeve.
The second incident took place at about 10.30pm on Monday.
A 19-year-old and a 22-year-old from the town were approached by a group of around five men near the junction with High Point.
One of the victims was pushed into bushes and a Nokia mobile was stolen.
The suspects have been described as white and between the ages of 17 and 20.
Each attacker wore a different coloured hoodie.
