In a recent post I commented on how well maintained the seafront between the Palace Pier and Hove Lagoon is. Then, on a recent run, I noticed a hint of something unpleasant in the air just as I reached the Blue Anchor Inn by the lagoon. It went away as I ran down the West side of the lagoon and hit the seafront.
I've started cycling to work again (which I've also already talked about). And I've noticed something. While all you smell when you're by the sea in that area is, well, the sea, if you're up by the road, for example on the cycle path, it smells like every egg ever laid ever is hiding in the hedge going rotten. It's seriously sulphurous. From the pub to the pitch & putt bit, it's just plain nasty.
That will be all.
