He is accused of shouting and swearing at a woman police community support officer while she issued a ticket to a car parked on double yellow lines.

She was allegedly hit by a door as the car drove away from the scene in Brook Street, Polegate, at 11.55am on Monday.

A driver was arrested shortly afterwards on the A22 near Uckfield.
