I’m writing this in the hope of forestalling any UFO reports.
Starting at about 1.30am on Monday, and lasting about half an hour, a series of orange lights passed over Kemp Town, moving slowly towards the west.
They were completely separate and distinct from Jupiter, which was bright, steely white and high in the southern sky.
The lights started at about rooftop level, then gained height and petered out. There were about two a minute.
I strongly suggest these were paper-and-candle balloons released somewhere in the area of Black Rock.
