Permaculture as direct action meets the ancient art of clowning in this two-day workshop.
The guerilla gardening phenomenon has seen groups of volunteers spruce up areas of urban decay, such as long- abandoned building sites and city centre brownfield areas.
One local example was the transformation of a derelict former Esso petrol station at the corner of Edinburgh Road, Brighton, which saw volunteers lay a circular lawn, bring in benches and plant flowers and shrubs into concrete blocks.
This workshop will be combining the skills of permaculture design with games and exercises involving clowning to help stimulate creativity.
