With Shoreham Airshow celebrating its 20th anniversary, spectators can expect something a little bit special for 2009.
Starting out as a small fete at the airfield, over the years the show has raised more than £1.5 million for the Royal Air Forces Association. And in return the RAF is helping to make this a very special year, with the return of the Eurofighter Typhoon F2, the BAE System Hawk T1 in the air on both days and the RAF Falcons Parachute Team on Sunday.
There will also be a Spitfire and Hurricane scramble, a First World War team, and a very special guest in the form of the Avro Vulcan Bomber XH558.
Plus there will be aerobatic displays by civilian teams including The Blades, which are all flown by former Red Arrow pilots, the Guinot wing-walkers and The Matadors.
And on the ground will be a funfair, vintage and veteran car rally, marching bands, craft stalls and much more.
*Gates open 8.30am, flying from 11am, tickets £20/£10, under-12s free if accompanied by an adult. Call 01273 441545.
