A stand-off between two men who are on the roof of a house in Western Place, Worthing and police has ended.
The men took to the roof shortly before 1pm this afternoon.
But police successfully negotiated with the pair, who came down at 4.45pm.
Insp Allan Lowe from Worthing Police said: "Our priority throughout was to ensure the safety of local residents, the public, our officers and the teenagers themselves.
"Police negotiators were brought in to talk to them and the incident was safely resolved.
"The two are now in custody and will be questioned in relation to Op Smallbridge, our investigation into the assault of a man in the town on August 9."
Officers visited the address as part of an inquiry into an attack in which a man's face was slashed open in Barrington Road, Worthing, in the early hours of August 9.
Sussex Police established a cordon around the house as they negotiated with the two men. This was removed shortly after they came down.
