In response to Peter Lilley, I would like to suggest that for next year’s Pride event all families be banned, festivities open to gays only (which could perhaps be enforced with the wearing of pink triangles to distinguish gay from non gay. Great idea, I picked up from somewhere.) and Section 28 brought back into force for the day to ensure the day retains that “retro” feel.

Or perhaps I should keep my response shorter: Times have changed, mostly for the better. Deal with it.
