Fundraisers hot-footed it over burning coals at a charity event.
Nine people took part in the challenge to raise money for the Worthing Churches Homeless Projects.
The coal walkers made more than £1,400 during the evening at Worthing Rugby Club.
Sue Stevens, 46, PR and fundraising manager at the charity, said: “It was extraordinary.
“You could feel the heat coming off it.
“But actually, even though it felt warm when I walked over them, it didn’t hurt.”
The charity, which works to provide shelter and support for homeless people, needs more than £1.1 million a year to keep going.
Sue said: “We are always trying to think of unique and fun ways of getting people involved and raising money.”
