TO GET the No. 1 bus I walked through to Uckfield Close and, as usual, almost had to walk sideways to avoid being scratched by rose bushes.
It has been like this for months and at some point someone has tried to cut them back and left the cuttings in the alley.
The grass and verges between Wiston Road and Whitehawk Broadway, as usual, need cutting again. It never looks as though it has been cut short enough. The standard of work looks so shoddy.
Once the bus approaches the city, it’s another story. Short lawns and well kept verges. Why isn’t the same standard met across the city and how can there be such a vast difference in standards?
I realise the city is of importance, from the councillors’ view and of course the public’s, but come on, housing estates should be just as well maintained as any other area.
