A 90-year-old grandmother who went missing and sparked a seafront helicopter search has been found.
The unnamed woman from Holland Road, Hove, left her home at 3.30pm yesterday.
Worried family contacted the police at 8pm after the woman failed to come home.
A large-scale search ensued with the police helicopter using a searchlight along Brighton and Hove seafront as well as officers scouring the city for her.
She was eventually found at 10pm last night at Hove railway station.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “She was found safe and well but had no real recollection of where she had been.”
