Two brothers are accused of waging a one-night campaign of city centre violence.
A pizza delivery man was attacked in his car in Fox Way, Portslade, at about 4pm on Tuesday.
His attackers robbed him of cash and his mobile phone.
At about 8pm police received reports of two men attacking an Asian man near the junction of Cannon Place and Russell Road in Brighton.
When two members of the public tried to step in, one of them suffered a fractured skull. His girlfriend was also attacked.
The suspects ran off towards Churchill Square and got on a number 49 bus, where they punched a bus driver.
They were arrested near HMV on Western Road.
Luke Suleman, 20, and his brother Ryan Suleman, 18, of Melrose Place, Portslade, have both been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and a public order offence.
Luke Suleman was also charged with common assault and robbery.
They appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court yesterday and were released on bail until a further hearing.
Sussex Police are trying to trace the Asian man to gather evidence.
