A police detective has been charged with money laundering.
Serving police officer Detective Constable Darren Graysmark, of Peacehaven, was arrested in April His arrest followed the discovery of 3kg of cocaine, worth £150,000, in a car pulled over on the A23 in Handcross, near Crawley.
Det Con Graysmark was immediately suspended from duty while an investigation was carried out.
He will appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on September 1.
