A graffiti artist has denied damaging walls and street signs.
At Lewes Crown Court Craig Price, 32, pleaded not guilty 11 charges of causing criminal damage across Brighton and Hove in 2008.
The offences include murals he allegedly painted on a wall at Black Rock, on Brighton seafront, and hoardings at the Knoll recreation ground in Hove.
The other charges relate to "tags" sprayed around the city, including a wall at the vicarage at All Saints Church, in Hove, a CCTV camera pole at Portslade railway station and a receipt box beside a cash machine outside Barclays Bank, in Hove.
Judge Charles Kemp requested the prosecution review the case after being informed that Price believed he had permission to create the murals at Black Rock at the recreation ground.
Price, of Kingston Close, Hove, was bailed until November 2 when a trial is due to start.
