Commuters are facing lengthy delays after a train broke down on the Brighton to London line.
A freight train broke down in Horley, near Gatwick Airport at about 5.30am today.
All services on the coastal line to Brighton have been affected.
A replacement bus service has been set up between Gatwick and Redhill.
A spokeswoman for Southern Railway said: “We’re working to restore the service as soon as possible.”
She also confirmed all rail tickets are being accepted on local bus services.
