Following the closure of nominations last Friday to stand in the City Council by-election in Goldsmid ward, the candidates have been confirmed as follows:
Maria McCallum - UK Independence Party
Alexandra Phillips - Green Party
Brian Ralfe - Independent
Howard Spencer - Liberal Democrat
Lis Telcs - Labour Party
Andrew Wealls - Conservative Party
The election will take place on 23rd July 2009 and the last day that candidates may withdraw from the election is noon on the 1st July.
