Last week I mentioned reliving my youth by seeing boyzone and I have to say they were absolutely amazing! They didn’t pretend to be cool, they knew they were going to come across as corny…and embraced it! From Stephen being openly camp, dancing with a pink vacuum to Prince and all the gang singing bohemian rhapsody. They didn’t disappoint only plugging their new material and rolled out all their classics. Great if you were once a fan and if you weren’t, they are still well worth seeing for the show alone. As an added bonus, it was easy to get back to Hove in the evening, so well worth remembering that day trips to gigs in London are not too much of a mission.
Today I am off to the races at Goodwood and can’t wait! I have my dress sorted, picked my fascinator and curled my hair. I can’t find a line up of who is running and so have dug out my lucky horseshoe to help me choose which horses to see which will be my lucky runners. I am really looking forward to the night – let’s just hope this amazing weather holds!
I am excited to see the noise next door are playing again on Saturday at the Ropetackle arts centre. I managed to catch them briefly at Fringe city during the festival but missed their real show as I had tickets to one of the many other shows around. If you are free I would definitely recommend them – they are a fun comedy band who make up rap style stories on the spot involving their audience.
This weekend, I am on the look out for somewhere nice to take my other half’s parents who are down for the weekend – so far the plan is the foragers and walking along the downs – but as usual I am open for suggestions!
