A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a collision on the A27.
The female driver was trapped in her car after a collision with a stationary lorry.
The accident took place by the speed camera at Hammerpot near Worthing.
Police were called to the scene around 7.30pm today.
The road was closed in both directions as fire crews cut the lady free from the vehicle.
Ambulance crews were also called to the scene.
The woman was described as having minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
A spokesperson for the police confirmed the road was still closed at 9pm while a vehicle was removed.
He said the road would be re-open within an hour.
