Well what can I say, it’s been a busy week, it’s been all go, go, go – a lot of things are happening.
I’ve been busy on my outings with Canada, this week round the local area, including West Chiltington, seeing some faces I know and others I don’t. It’s great weather and everybody seems happy, including Canada! He is in very good form with himself as we make our way through the surrounding lanes and areas, seeing all the spring lambs jumping around in the fields make you feel good inside and the feeling summer is on the way really makes the days go quicker. .
A horse I was riding has been found a very nice new home in the west country. It was great riding him, but he needed a change of scenery and he has now gone so I have to ride a new horse who is keeping me very busy as well. Early morning starts are welcomed with the sound in the distance of a cuckoo, he is going cuckoo all day long. It’s a pleasant noise to hear, the horses are all in their paddocks enjoying the sun, it’s so good to see such happy horses.
On Wednesday I rode a friend’s horse up on the south downs all around the Amering Park estate. Sam had given me previous warning that her horse was a bit cheeky and might get a bit excited, so being Jack the lad I decided I knew best and the rest is history - well the horse is absolutely fine but my pride was quite badly hurt. Being beaten by a girl was not a good feeling!
I’m looking forward to the new week and hoping too see more of Sussex and its amazing wildlife, and beautiful scenery.
