Picking up the themes that lie beneath the surface of Anish Kapoor’s Blood Relations piece, this epic closing concert should prove a worthy send-off.
Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade was composed in the summer of 1888, and inspired by the ninth-centruy epic.
Hot on his heels, Ravel took his own inspiration from the same source.
With more than 250 performers on-stage, from the Orchestre National de Lorraine and the Brighton Festival Chorus, this concert looks set to provide the perfect conclusion to an impressive night of music.
- Starts 8pm. £30, £25, £20, £15, £10.
