The first of two concerts marking the 200th anniversary of the death of Jospeh Haydn, this performance will see the Grammy-winning outfit perform the composer’s final quartet.
Originally intended as the second in a series of six, F major Op 77 no 2 was to be the final quartet the 67-year-old composer was to complete. It exhibits the full range of his mature artistry and harmonic complexity.
The second concert, featuring the acclaimed Jerusalem Quartet at the Royal Pavilion on Tuesday, May 19, is returns only.
