A scheme has been launched to get more waste recycled.
Officials hope residents could soon be recycling more than half of their household waste thanks to the new Acorn Plus scheme from Horsham District Council.
The project means people will be able to leave more materials including paper, cardboard, waxed cartons and glass in their kerbside recycling boxes.
It will take 18 months for the scheme to begin operating but it will come at no extra cost to the community.
Residents can expect to hear more information on how it will work over the coming weeks.
Updates will also be available online at www.horsham.gov.uk.
