World music mingles with classical, pop, folk and rock in a dazzling programme of live treats.
There’s the Drookit Dogs launching their new album at Fletch@ St Andrews, gypsy jazz from multi-instrumentalist Charlotte Glasson at the Latest Music Bar, Irish “loungepunks” Cuckoo Savante at The Marlborough and leading trombonist Dennis Rollins laying down the grooves at the Parlure Spiegeltent. Another not-to-be-missed gig is US gay icon Lea DeLaria bringing her witty repartee and up-tempo swing to the Old Market. It all adds up to a line-up fitting for a city with a voracious appetite for music.
