From the hard-hitting to farcical, cult to classic, this year’s Fringe theatre gives even Edinburgh a run for its money in variety and scope.
In a large and overwhelming programme, highlights include the dark and explosive Festen at the New Venture Theatre, looking into shocking family secrets, Best of Edinburgh-award-winning The Bite Size Monologues at Cella@The Sanctuary, and The First Domino at Latest Music Bar. Marking the 10th anniversary of the Soho pub bombing, this “theatrical tour-de-force” takes the audience on a terrifying journey as secrets are revealed and reality blurs.
