The latest show from Danish children’s theatre company Teater Patrasket, this playful and unpretentious show draws its cast from the worlds of mime and European physical theatre.
Big clowns, small clowns, sad clowns and mischievous clowns together try to make sense of their silent world.
As they play, fight and pratfall, the clowns discover a place in which nothing is quite as it seems and everything is possible. Where cardboard boxes could just as easily be mobile phones, and the simple act of putting out some chairs becomes a chessboard battle of wits.
Wireless is a balancing act of comedy, mime and music that is recommended for children of four and older – all the way up to much older. The show was devised by French director Catherine Poher – four-time winner of the country’s premier theatre award Reumertprisen.
Starts at 4.30pm and 6.30pm on Friday, 11am and and 2pm on Saturday and Sunday. £10 (children £6), family tickets £30 (two adults, two children).
