Part of this year’s Platform events, which give visitors the chance to see work in its early stages, this new piece from Brighton’s own Charlie Morrissey explores the act of performance itself.
By assembling a series of simple images, Morrissey creates a moving and human portrait. Each image is the result of an instruction for the performers and each moment grows out of the last.
A work in progress that progresses even as it is performed, the piece aims to remind the audience of its own role in the process of creation.
Charlie Morrissey has been initiating projects, performing and teaching for close to 20 years.
His improvisational work takes the form of site-specific and theatre and gallery-based live performance events, often in collaboration with dance artists and artists from other fields.
Starts 9pm. Tickets £4.
