A gallery is showing two works by influential Turner Prize winning artist Anish Kapoor.
Blood Relations and 1,000 Names are on display in Fabrica, Ship Street, Brighton. The exhibition opened on April 10 and previews a collection of Anish Kapoor pieces which will be displayed across the city during Brighton Festival next month.
Five further works by Mr Kapoor, who is the festival s guest artistic director, called Sky Mirror; CCurve, Music Boxes, and two new works commissioned by the festival, Dismemberment of Jeanne d Arc and Imagined Monochrome (massage), will be in different venues in Brighton.
Matthew Miller, codirector of Fabrica, said: “It’s fantastic for us and for Brighton. He’s a worldclass artist with a worldclass reputation. It s going to raise the profile of our gallery and the festival.”
All the works are free to view, with the exception of Imagined Monochrome (massage) at The Basement which is £12.
