One person has died and one man taken to hospital after a house fire this afternoon.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to Grand Crescent, Rottingdean, at about 1.25pm after a fire started in a kitchen.
Police have now confirmed two adults were injured.
One died inside the house and another man was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment after breathing in smoke.
No details have been released about the age or gender of the person who died but Sussex Police said they were an adult. Officers are still speaking to their next of kin.
Detectives and fire investigators are working at the scene to find out what caused the blaze.
