Detectives say an anonymous tip-off has helped them investigate an armed robbery in Worthing - but they are desperate to speak to the mysterious caller again.
Two men in their 20s have been arrested on suspicion of robbing a betting shop last week.
A man with a handgun stole about £2,500 from Ladbrokes in Broadwater Street East, Worthing, last Wednesday.
A CCTV image of the man, who was wearing a balaclava, was released to help the public identify him.
Police released the CCTV image in an appeal for help from the public to help identify him.
The next day an anonymous caller left information for police.
One man was arrested on Saturday and one on Sunday in Worthing. They have both been bailed until next month.
Detective Sergeant Alex Lowe said: “The information they provided was very useful.
“They have probably got more information they could give us.
“We are really keen to speak to them. Everything would be treated in strictest confidence, they can remain anonymous and if they wish too I would like to meet up with them and speak with them in person, without revealing their details to any third party.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Worthing CID on 0845 6070999, quoting serial 1769 of April 15, or speak to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
