The father of teenage murder victim Vicky Couchman has been charged with perverting the course of justice.
Tony Couchman, 45, of Beecham Place, St Leonards, was arrested on Saturday and charged tonight with committing the crime in connection with the investigation into the murder of his daughter.
Miss Couchman's remains were discovered in Redgeland Wood in the Queensway area of the town on October 13.
She is thought to have been missing since last May but was never reported as a missing person.
Vicky had a three-year-old daughter, Rachael.
Couchman was remanded in custody to appear at Hastings Magistrates' Court tomorrow morning.
