Fire crews had to go to student halls in the middle of the night after a fire extinguisher was deliberately set off.
Automatic fire alarms were triggered because of the amount of CO2 released by the extinguisher.
Firefighters called to the halls of residence at the University of Brighton's campus in Falmer, Brighton, at 5.30am today said they were "not impressed".
