More trains will be provided on some Sunday routes as part of a timetable change.

Southern is making minor changes to its timetable from May 17, which will include some faster journey times and more trains on Sundays on certain routes.

The majority of Sunday service changes have been made because additional train paths have been made available.

These will be in place until August 30, but will revert to the original timings on September 6 until the next timetable change in December.

This means there will be two separate sections of Sunday services in the company s printed timetables.

Southern has also received feedback from passengers about the size of some of its pocket timetables and, as a result, it will trial some new mini timetables on some of its major routes.

Timetable books 6 and 9 have been replaced by new mini guides for routes to Tattenham Corner, Caterham, Tonbridge, Uckfield and East Grinstead.

New timetables will be available from Southern staffed stations from Friday but new train times are also available at www.southernrailway.com using the My Times facility.
